The leaves are changing colors and starting to fall. As the sun goes down, the temperature drops leaving that nip in the air. Apple cider and hot chocolate top the list of favorite beverages. And most importantly, we let the monster out to play!
When speaking of a monster, you may start to imagine the classics like Frankenstein, the Wolfman, Dracula or the Headless Horseman. Maybe you follow the cult movies and think of Pumpkinhead, Chucky, Jason or Michael Myers. Of course, you might also be thinking of the zombies of the Walking Dead. This year, you probably added a certain clown to your list of favorite monsters. At Males In Motion we think of the October Monster in quite a different way.
Over the past few months we have collected pics from social media that best represent the monster we most enjoy. We've waited for October and now, we are ready to let our monster out to play!
When the monster is first observed, one's mouth drops open from horror, excitement or even joy. This is probably due to its ability to cause both pleasure or pain. Or, if it happens to be in the right environment and provided with the right type of stimulation, the monster will grow even bigger, right before your very eyes.
There are those that believe our monster is magical. They believe it possesses certain powers and abilities. Some have even compared it to a horse.
It brings out aggression in some. They are obsessed with getting a hand on it. And although others may have their doubts, when facing this monster, there are some who are confident they can take it.
We view our monster as a thing of beauty. And many in our social circle agree. We know that they collect images of our monster to display or share with others. It is even rumored that they keep a special collection of these images to view when experiencing a very private alone time.
In some cultures our monster is given a high status. Presentation music is played as gifts of money (usually in one dollar bills) are presented as part of an often practiced ritual. The monster may then choose to display itself without the lawful covering. I've heard stories of followers seeing a monster in all its naked glory.
There are places where an image of our monster is forbidden. In the Kingdom of Facebook an image of our monster may result in your being thrown in their dungeon for up to 30 days. But our monster is so beloved that many still risk it on a daily basis. We admire their devotion.
When the veil between the living and dead is lifted this Halloween, we encourage you to seek out our monster. You can find him in the locations shown in this blog. We have listed only a few. If you live in the Western portion of the United States, you are in luck. Our monster is known to pop up in great numbers in your area. But that doesn't mean he isn't in other regions as well. Find one in your area and share the experience. Join us and let the monster out to play this October!
