| Exposing The Male Dancer ~ Guidelines For Social Media Promotion Part Two: Five Photo Tips |
| If you are planning for a short career as an exotic male dancer, then this blog will not be of much value to you. I'd stop here and not read any further. However, if you are wanting to dance to supplement your income for several years, or help pay your way through college, or you are wanting to buy a new car, or other item on your wish list, keep reading. And if you are a customer or fan of male dancers, well, I've thrown in some eye candy to keep you interested. |
| I have been a photographer for fifteen plus years. I have a marketing background and Bachelor's in business. For the past few years, all my work has been focused on entertainment and promotion. And as you might guess, the majority of this has been working with exotic male dancers and male models, all for the purpose of promoting the exotic male dancer entertainment industry. I say this simply to provide some background as to why I feel I might have some insight into successful photos for exotic male dancers to use in social media. I have five tips that I want to share with exotic male dancers about using photos for promotion. |
| Let's put it out there right from the beginning. The purpose of photos in social media for the exotic male dancer is to draw attention to yourself. The type of attention that entices the customers to attend your performances. And once there, they are motivated to tip you. And that leads to you making cash to pay the bills, travel or purchase those items that have been on your wish list! That is a lot for a promotional pic to live up to. These photos can not be just another 'nice pic'! |

TIP ONE: RARELY OR NEVER PUT IT ALL OUT THERE!!!!! Part of being a successful exotic male dancer is the tease. If you post a pic of your junk boldly displayed for all to see, you've shot the proverbial wad and everyone has seen it. You've just lost one of your most valuable tools in enticing the customers to attend your performances. You want to remain a mystery. That doesn't mean that you can't take pics wearing a pair of underwear that leaves very little to the imagination. Or even a sneak peek when pulling down your underwear and showing just a bit. There is only one exception to this that I can think of. If you have been blessed and are a true King Kong. Well, then just to see if it is real or not, some customers will show up. But you can make a hell of a bulge or imprint in underwear that will do the same thing. This has nothing to do with being modest, this is just good business sense. Curiosity and mystery are two very powerful drawing cards when working to bring customers through the door. |

TIP TWO: NEVER TAKE GROUP PICS WITH SOMEONE WHO MAY HAVE AN ADVANTAGE Every day I see a post on Facebook where the reader is asked which one 1-5?, or some other number depending on how many hot guys are in the pic. Of course, they are basically asking "which one would you do?" If you are the hottest, most well-endowed, best body, most handsome, etc., etc., then great! But if you are not, then you have just devalued your visual attraction power. A customer who before thought you were the hottest dancer at the club may see this and now think, well, he isn't as hot as that other guy in the pic. He was motivated to seek you out and place dollar bills in your waistband, but now he probably still has you on his list, but he'll be looking for that other guy first. Be careful who you are in pics with. Make sure either you are alone, or you have an advantage over any others. Play it smart. |

TIP THREE: MAKE SURE YOUR BEST ASSETS ARE SHOWN When you have the say-so over what pics are used, make sure your best assets are in the pic. If you have a flat ass but a big bulge, then you of course want to make sure that bulge is the feature attraction. If on the other hand, you are of average size like most of us, but have that amazing bubble butt, then yes, turn around or at an angle where the globes are presented in all their glory. I see a lot of pics of guys with great butts who do just this. They know where their money maker is located. |

TIP FOUR: GIVE YOURSELF THE EDGE, PLAY INTO THE FANTASIES I like looking at pics of hot men in their underwear as much as the next gay guy or straight woman. But what really captures my attention is when that underwear is accompanied by costume accessories that play into one of my fantasies. Everyone who follows my blogs know that one of my favorite costumes is the cowboy. Put on cowboy boots and a hat and hot underwear, and you've captured my attention, and the dollars in my pocket will soon find their way into your nether regions. Behind the cowboy, there are other looks that I enjoy as well. I like the look and smell of leather so if you are wearing a harness, chaps, leather thong, motorcycle jacket, leather shorts, black boots, etc., I'm going to look your direction. Some fans are motivated by sports...a jockstrap, baseball pants and cap, sweatpants or shirts, team jerseys, etc. I also like superheroes on guys who have amazing chests and abs. There are many, many more. I could write several blogs just on costumes. Find one that fits your body type, and that sparks an interest in the customers. Use it in photos. One word of advice that I want to make is that make sure it doesn't hide your body. Lift it up, move it around, cut it off, etc., whatever you need to do to make sure that the sexy body is the star. |

TIP FIVE: POST ONLY PICS THAT GRAB ATTENTION It is difficult to make a list of poses, costumes, lighting, etc., that will grab attention but if you want your pics to be successful and work toward your benefit, that is what you have to do. I scroll through many pics each day. There are pics that I see and I keep scrolling on down the page. There are pics that I see and I stop and click 'like' or 'love' on them. Then there are pics that I like so much that I think others will like them so I 'share' them. The last category is the best category and those are the pics that I do all of the above and then I download and save them to my hard drive because I think they are so damn hot, or unique, or eye catching, etc. In order to reach this status on a pic, you are going to have to do some thinking and planning with your photographer. Work together and come up with some ideas. In a single photo shoot, you may only come up with one shot that you feel this way about, but that one shot will bring a lot of attention your way when posted, and eventually it is hoped, will lead to more tips. |
| I have added a few pics below that have caused me to 'like' or 'love', 'share', and download to keep. Do they affect you the same way? They may or may not. We all have different likes, tastes and preferences. What I consider attractive or interesting may be completely different than what you think. If you know your audience or customer base, you know what will push their buttons. |

| During a recent weekend I had the privilege of seeing some of my favorite male dancers at two locations. The first was in Wichita, Kansas at Club Boomerang. The club hosted the Men Of Skin out of Kansas City, and three of their finest were present: Zion, Ranger and Leo. As an added bonus, Club Boomerang has in-house dancers as well. This night Austin, dancer and dancer manager, and Eric were present. It was my kind of night, five fun and sexy dancers in one place on a special night. This particular Friday night was a part of the Pride celebration weekend. There was a $7 cover charge for the special weekend, and in my opinion, it was well worth it. The entertainment was just what I needed after a long week and a few hours driving time. I enjoyed all the male dancers. |
| Ranger of the Men of Skin indulged my favorite fantasy and dressed as a cowboy. And this exotic male dancer fan was very grateful. Ranger couldn't go wrong with this one. I mean, a cute face and sexy smile underneath a cowboy hat is more than I can resist. Then add in a pair of chaps that framed a pair of perfect close-to-bare ass cheeks. Yes, I was a happy ranch hand. |

| Austin, the dancer manager at Club Boomerang, well, he fills out his underwear quite nicely. And the way he works the pole, let's just say, your eyes will remain completely focused. Another thing I loved about him as well, is that he has blond hair. That has become a rare commodity in exotic male dancers. |

| Zion has become an industry friend with Males In Motion. It is always good to see him. And I must say, he is always in fine shape, going and coming! He is the driving force behind Men Of Skin. |

| Another of Club Boomerang's own dancers was Eric. With the cute boy-next-door look, he knows how to move his butt in a way that would encourage any neighbor, or fan, to want to knock on his door. And there were several who 'came-a-knockin' while he was dancing his sessions at the pole. |

| I've been a Leo fan for a long time. He is such a sweetheart. Whether he steps out as a bunny, a cat or in some hot leather, or more, Leo always puts on a great show for the Men Of Skin. He likes to make sure everyone is having a good time! |
| If you are in the Wichita, KS area, stop by Club Boomerang. They have two bars, and amazing bartenders. It was a busy night and I watched as the bartenders were slinging drinks, keeping the line moving without missing a beat. I want to thank Joshua and Brad for being great hosts and for providing such a fun playground for locals and visitors alike. | Finally!!! I made it to Dick's Cabaret in Phoenix, AZ. I have followed this all-nude male strip club for years and kept thinking, this will be the year that I get to check it out! Well, 2016 became that year! And let me just say, it was everything I hoped for and more. Ok, so I sound like I'm gushing a bit but it's true. Read on, I'll explain why! |

| Imagine walking into a candy store as a kid and the shelves are lined with all your favorite candies. That is how I felt at Dick's Cabaret. The sweetness just kept getting better and better. I easily found the club using GPS, parked and entered the building. There was a $15 cover for this night. That's an average price for clubs of this type. It was well worth it to me! I was given a small ticket that I was told was for my first drink. Due to area laws, Dick's cannot have nudity and alcohol together. That was no problem. I was there for the boys. I traded in my ticket for a cranberry juice and sat down at the bar. |

| The early DJ explained the way Dick's works. The boys come out and dance on a stage in the main room. The first song is in underwear. Then the second they dance nude. Most of the dancing is pole dancing. Ok, so here is where the candy store comparison comes in. I was there on a Monday night, which Mondays are typical slow nights at most male strip clubs. The crowd was small, but I always LOVE slow nights, it means I get more attention, and I did. There were three dancers this night, on the weekends there are many more. But I was perfectly content with three. You see, all three fit exactly the category of male dancers that I enjoy best. They were in their 20s, athletic, good looking, great bodies, nice asses, and ample boy parts! There was a big smile on my face all night. You see, this candy store stocked all my favorite candies, and I was there to sample. |
| While I sat at the bar, a dancer named Rex stopped by and began to chat. Rex was a perfect host. His slim but defined body looked great in (and out) of his small underwear. We chatted about Dick's and dicks ***SMILE***. While we were chatting another dancer stepped to the stage and began to dance. His name was Hammer. And all I can say is Mikey Likey. And for my latino friends, "me gusto mucho". Hammer fit exactly my type, preference, attraction, eye candy, and I was visually hooked. He was tall, slim but defined with a great chest, flat stomach, strong shoulders and arms, handsome face, short hair, amazing ass... ok, as I often do, I'm going to pause here for a moment and enjoy a daydream. I'll be right back! |

| When he finished his session on the stage, Hammer walked by and I tipped him saying I hadn't made it up to the stage while he was there. He thanked me and said he would be right back. In a few minutes he came back and explained the lap dance and VIP area experience. For $10 per song you can have a lap dance in the main area and the boys wear their underwear. The main area has several chairs perfectly selected for lap dances. The second option is to go to the VIP area where for $20 per song, you can have a lap dance and the dancer is nude. OK, now get this...Sunday and Monday nights are half-price nights. So, I could get $5 main room underwear lap dances and $10 VIP area nude lap dances. My favorite candy was having a half-price sale. I mean could the night get any better than this? |
| Since I was looking for the full experience while I was there, I told Hammer lets start out in the main area and I'll have a underwear lap dance. So I did. When the first song was over, he asked me if I wanted to continue....I did, very much so. So, I had another underwear lap dance. And let me say, I was enjoying myself very much. I was smiling ear to ear. After the second song ended he asked if I wanted to continue. I said "no", because I was ready to go to the VIP area for a nude lap dance. We got up and made our way to the bar. There is a one time club charge for the night to enter the VIP area. The night I was there it was $10. |
| When we entered the VIP area, there was another dancer and guest with a nude lap dance in progress. Hammer and I moved to the opposite side and he had me sit down on a comfortable large chair. Hammer removed the shorts he was wearing and was then completely nude. Let's just say that my first impressions of Hammer as a male dancer were very good, but once inside the VIP area, he quickly moved up my list of best lap dances ever! Yes, I'm not overstating it, I mean EVER! And you know for me, that is saying a lot. I've been enjoying lap dances from exotic male dancers for many years. I won't give you any details, you'll have to make your way to Dick's Cabaret and find that out for yourself. |

| During the first song of my VIP lap dance with Hammer, I looked over to see the third dancer who was with another customer. It was Jason. All I'm going to say is the first thing I saw of this dancer was his naked ass. Had I not already been under the spell of Hammer, I would have been spending some time with Jason as well. Jason was fairly new as a dancer but from where I was sitting, I could see that he had already developed some great skills in customer service. |
| In the middle of my several songs with Hammer, I made the decision that he was probably going to get all the rest of the money in my pocket. You see, I know myself. I set a budget and I bring only a certain amount and then pray there isn't an ATM at the club. Because when it comes to exotic male dancers like Hammer, I have no self-discipline. It's just the reality that I've come to accept. I play tricks on myself to keep enough to pay my bills. And it was even harder this time. We all know how easy it is to spend money when on vacation, add in sexy naked male dancers, and if you are like me, you just keep stuffing those dollars...well, in this case, I handed them to them, there was no clothing in which to stuff them. |
| After a few songs with Hammer, I told him I'd better stop for now because I wanted to make the night last a little longer. We left the VIP area and I went back to the bar. At this time a new DJ was sitting there. He introduced himself, he was part-time DJ and part-time dancer, he went by the name of Taz. In our conversation I learned that Taz rides motorcycles. Well, it didn't take my brain long to put him in a motorcycle vest and chaps. That's all, nothing else. Taz was not dancing that night but I find that to be great motivation for going back to Dick's Cabaret for a future visit. And Taz, I really enjoyed our conversation. You made me feel like a regular at the club. It is much appreciated. Next time, I'll catch you on stage! |

| I recommend Dick's Cabaret without reservation. And I will go back, and it won't take as long for my second visit as it did to make my first. And just so you know, before I left, I took Hammer back to the VIP area and emptied out the remaining cash in my pocket. And yes, the second helping was just as good as the first. | Lucky 13!!!! Thank you for 13 great years! Males In Motion started in 2003 when my employer at the time, required that I travel monthly. I was already a fan of exotic male dancers and had given up my lap dance virginity. When I traveled I would search for bars/clubs/events where male dancers would be performing. Online information wasn't as plentiful back then, and sometimes I would miss opportunities to enjoy my favorite form of entertainment, simply because I did not know a bar or club existed. I decided to create an online resource for finding exotic male dancers at a bar or club in the cities where I would be working. |

| The Males In Motion website was soon created. It has since been overhauled and updated a few times into our current existence at malesinmotion.com. Each month we add bars and clubs to our listings, so you can find out where the sexy boys are dancing. We post links to topics or dancers that have caught our attention. So of course, we recommend that when you travel, check our website to find out where you can have some fun with the boys. For example, if you are in Massachusetts, we'd recommend you travel to Springfield and visit the X-Room at Mardi Gras. If in New Orleans, drop by The Corner Pocket and see the boys dance on the bar. And if you notice that we have missed a bar or club, please let us know. We strive not to miss any of them, even if they only have male dancers one night per week. |

| In 2010 this blog was added so I could share a few thoughts about my travels, write reviews of bars, clubs and male revues, and to hopefully provide some insight about and for the industry. Over the past several years, I have traveled around the U.S. and Canada visiting bars and clubs to watch the dancing boys. I continue to discover new favorites, both dancers and locations. | Prior to 2003, I had been a photographer for several years. Most of my work followed a historical record theme. I still dabble in it from time to time, but with the blog and website, I followed a natural passion into entertainment and promotional images. I've enjoyed and laughed during photo shoots with drag queens where my floor was left covered in sequins, rhinestones and feathers. I have also helped private clients to create images of more intimate moments. And as you might guess, I love creating fantasy pics that include a male dancer or a male model. |

| Lately I've seen a few missteps in male dancers promoting themselves on social media. It hasn't been anything world shattering, but maybe I can help to steer the sexy boys in a better direction for a more successful outcome. With this blog I start a series for Exposing The Male Dancer. We're talking about the right kind of exposure, or promotion. I'll discuss promotion tips and post several exposing photos. Let me know if you agree with this blog in a comment below, or a Facebook message or an email. Please pass this blog on to every exotic male dancer you know. I feel it is important enough for all to read! |
| Why do I think I can help? This September will mark 13 years that I have been in the promotion and entertainment photography business. I spend a minimum of two hours every day reading and posting to social media for the purpose of promoting male dancers, clubs and events that feature them, photographers that feature them, underwear and costumes that look great on them, and much more. I assist male dancers in obtaining gigs, consult with bar owners and managers, hire male dancers for events, and have developed great business relationships and friendships along the way. I am therefore qualified to write this blog giving a few pointers to exotic male dancers about promoting themselves in social media. |

| For every social media that a male dancer desires to be active in, two separate accounts should be created and maintained. Always keep them separate, both in posts and in friends you add. The two accounts are for the purpose of keeping the professional and the personal separated. Why? I'm glad you asked. First, I'll list below the things that as a customer/fan, I should NOT see and read. Then second, I'll list the items that I should see and read. For the customers/fans that are reading this blog, I have some suggestions for you as well, at the end. |

| Why are two separate social media accounts important? As an exotic male dancer, you are playing a roll in a fantasy for the customer/fan. When that fantasy is maintained, they will come to the club or event where you are performing with it in their mind. You want to help them to maintain this fantasy. They want to be entertained. They are also coming to a club or event to escape real life for a few hours. Your personal life is not a part of the fantasy, and is often a turn off to any potential new customer and to many existing customers. They don't want to read about your problem with relationships, roommates, finances, etc. They have enough of that of their own. Please don't drag them in to your drama. This is solid advice for your online promotion and when performing at a club or event where you speak with them face-to-face. |
| Also, many male dancers will add their employers as friends on their social media accounts. So, any drama that goes on with you is known by your employer. Your employer only needs to know that you are at work when scheduled and on time, and that you are performing at your best while there. |

| To the customer/fan I give a gentle warning. I love the pretty dancing boys as much as anyone. Although there are many who are professional and ethical in their dealings with others, there are some of them who are not so pretty inside. The game that goes on between male strippers and the customer is total manipulation, where both are seeking something. It is fair because it is an exchange. The customer/fan wants entertainment from a hot, sexy male dancer. The male dancer is trying to pay his bills, buy something new or save for some future goal. |
| But some male dancers take the game beyond where it should go. They are masters at manipulation and will try to work you for some type of gain, usually money through dishonesty, etc. I have seen posts from male dancers who posts using the poverty card and talk about how poor they are in an attempt to have someone feel sorry for them and help out. And yet, a few paragraphs previous they were talking about how drunk they got going out with friends. Ok, so maybe the friends bought the drinks, but if they are so down on their luck, shouldn't they ask the friend to help them with food, bills, or other expenses instead? And be careful of those who use the Wimpy, from Popeye, approach. Wimpy always said, "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today." But Tuesday never comes. I called this a gentle warning because, hey, after all, it is your money, and you can choose to spend it however you like. |

| To the male dancer I also give a gentle warning. It is much safer and wiser to keep your personal information locked safely away. Two separate accounts can help do this. There are customers/fans who may become obsessive and could possibly be a bit unstable. You do not want these people to have your personal information. They do not need to know where you live or who your close friends are. If you work at a second job, they do not need to know where that job is located. You do not want some of these people showing up at your place of work. Some customers/fans can become infatuated with a dancer and be completely annoying or even to the point of becoming a stalker. Now, I know there aren't a lot of this type around but it is always better to be safe, particularly when there is no real reason to share your personal information with everyone. |
| When two accounts are created in social media, there are fewer opportunities for abuse by either the customer/fan or the male dancer. Until next time, dancers, strippers, go-go's, etc., create that second social media account. And as always, customers and fans, don't forget to tip the boys! |

| What's up Males In Motion readers? I'm known as Bryce Adonis and I've danced all over New England, including Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, as well as NYC, LA and Miami for almost 5 years, traveling around to make money to pay for my child support and porn collection. This is my 1st attempt at a blog which I am stoked to share with you. I'm very fortunate that Michael Hill and I have become friends through Facebook, so I hope he values my views on my every day life as a stripper on the road. I had the amazing opportunity to spend 2 weeks at Adonis LA at Fubar for Pride this year and while it was a blast, I'm still busy counting my STD's. |

| As you enter Fubar, you will receive a warm welcome from the door staff. You'll then walk in to find a fully stocked bar that spans the length of the club to your left, and seating along the right-hand side. The color scheme is exactly what you would expect, dark. The walls are decorated with posters of the sexy studs that you may bump into throughout the evening and the lighting is perfectly positioned to enhance your viewing pleasure. At the end of the club there is an elevated stage, where you can watch the constant supply of dancers rotate throughout the night from any seat in the bar. To the left of the stage in the way back, hang long black curtains from ceiling to floor which separates the private lap dance room, which has several extremely plush couches. Hosting the show you will find the charismatic, muscle bound Matt de Iturriaga, who once was a stripper but has worked his way up the ranks to now run and MC the show. |

| As a dancer I found Adonis had some of the most generous tippers that I have come across in the city. While I was there, I seemed to run into customers that would drop $40-$80 (2-4 songs) per sitting. I've been known to be called a wild child. However, with LA's clean image, I found it hard to fulfill that reputation. The dancing room is constantly monitored by Elliott that enforces LA's strict guidelines. For the beautiful men here, it didn't seem to be an issue making money. However, for an aging, mediocre stripper such as myself, it proved to be difficult to stay competitive with the fierce budding actors, fitness models and local meatheads. |

| Every week Matt does an amazing job finding new headliners to star in the show, which typically includes porn stars and social media celebrities to grace his stage, such as Ryan Rose, Jaxton Wheeler, JJ Knight, Ricky Roman, Nick Capra, Damon Danilo, Marco Corleone and Tom Faulk. |

| But most recently to help celebrate the 3rd Birthday of Adonis LA, Matt flew in Bryan Hawn, who is a published author and YouTube celebrity. And if you don't know who he is then where have you been hiding!? He's currently the hottest thing on social media right now and has over 400,000 followers on Facebook and when you see his rock hard bubble butt, you'll see exactly why he has been making men melt all across the nation. I had the pleasure of working with him at Adonis NYC for this years Pride parade. He is genuinely one of the sweetest guys I've met in the industry and his smile could make a straight guy leave his wife. | What I found intriguing whilst working at Adonis was the cast of characters who returned weekly to pack the line-up. One guy in particular that I spent a lot of time with was ex porn star Tyson Riggs (in pic above). While he may appear to be your typical dumb jock. I was shocked to discover how intelligent and knowledgeable he was about optimizing muscle growth as well as human anatomy. When on stage he carries a resting bitch face but when you see him dance, his moves will have you smiling from ear to ear. I challenge you to find an ounce of fat on his shredded body and he's so vascular that even a nurse in training could prick him with their eyes shut! |

| Last but not least, one of my fav's and personal buddy of mine is Philly native Mikey, who is tough to miss with his blonde hair, blue eyes, chiseled jaw and flawless physique. What I love about this guy is that it seems there isn't a single dancer that he doesn't have a bromance with. Not to mention the masculine and fun loving energy that he brings to the party, making the most feminine guy feel like he has just been injected with testosterone. While I was in the lap dancing area, I lost count of how many times I heard him utter the word "bro" and when your done having a dance with him you'll feel like you've just grabbed a beer with one of your best buds. |

| While this was only my second time working in LA, the team made me feel like I have danced here for years and part of the Adonis LA family. I can't wait to plan my next trip to get back and see my West Coast #cockwatcherz, but in the meantime, make sure you visit the men and stuff an extra dollar or two in their shorts for me. |
