There's just enough of a hint of the bad boy in that face which keeps us interested. Add the tussled hair, that smile, and the sexy body and we find ourselves hoping that once again he'll be dancing at the club tonight. And we're so very, very glad that Andrew Christian has chosen to place him in several ad photos, in underwear of course. |

Until next time, if you see Quinn Christopher Jaxon dancing at the club, tell him Mike from Males In Motion says hi. And be sure and find a place in his Andrew Christian's to stuff your dollar bills and tip. |

Building A Music Mix For Exotic Male Dancers
Ideas That Make The Boyz Move!
Any DJ that has been creating music mixes for very long has discovered that sometimes the music just doesn't work. It falls flat! They have also discovered that the right mix makes the club/bar come alive! If you're looking for an exact list of songs, well, that's not going to be in this blog. However, if you want a few tips on building the right music mix for male strippers, go-go boys, or male revues, then keep reading. My ultimate goal is to help DJ's be successful, so exotic male dancers can be successful, so...the customers have a successful experience! All ingredients have to work together for a fun night that will be talked about the next day. Most customers will not even notice the contribution of the DJ. And honestly, that is a good thing. They've done their job and made it possible for the dancers to make more in tips, and for the customers to have a great time at the bar, club or event. I've listed a few tips that I hope will help the DJ's in making the best music selection for the night. (Photo Above: Indecent Exposure - Columbus, OH)
First: "Who Is My Audience?"
The customer should be the first person considered in a music mix. If they are young, energetic, trendy, etc., select the latest hits and ask them to tell you the names of some of their favorite artists. For this crowd it changes all the time. And if you want to keep the music fresh, you have to work to stay on top of the latest trends. If the audience includes a lot of older twenty-somethings, then keep the latest hits but add in a few artists from 3-5 years ago. If the venue is a male stripper club that caters to mainly gay men, then the majority of the crowd will possibly be older men. Open up your options to include a few hits from the 80s through today. (Photo Above: Ethan - Chicago, IL)
Second: "Does The Music You've Chosen Work For The Male Dancers?"
The second most important consideration concerning your music choice is whether the male dancers can dance to it or not. Some DJ's don't have a clue. You are there to first, make the customer happy, but second, to make the male dancers happy. The male dancers will be happy when they are making money in tips. If you can give them music that they can dance to then they will be more inspired and involved. This will help the customers to notice them, and then the customers will hopefully be placing dollar bills and/or more in the dancer's underwear waistbands. I know this should be obvious but I have been to clubs where the male dancers will get really involved in one song then the second song comes on they step off the stage/bar/etc., and wait for the next. You can throw a song out there and let the male dancer sink or swim, but is that really contributing to the success of the club, bar or event? If the DJ helps contribute to the success of the male dancers, then this in turn contributes to the success of the club, and the ultimate success of the DJ. (Photo Above: Pan Dulce - San Diego, CA)
Third: "Don't Be Afraid Of Theme Nights"
Build music mix lists for theme nights and have them ready for events. Of course, this does work best when it is a promoted theme for the night or event.
- Theme Suggestions:
- Cowboy or western theme (include some country music but there are lots of songs about sexy cowboys)
- Sports
- Military
- Leather
- Superheroes
- Christmas
- Halloween
- New Year's Eve
- Valentine's Day
- Mardi Gra (All about the party)
- Pimps and Ho's
- Hollywood
Fourth: It's An Evolutionary Process
Watch your audience and the dancers and take note of what songs they are responding to and more importantly which ones they are not responding to. Remove the songs from your mix that do not motivate either the crowd or the dancers and add in a different song for the next time you use that mix. Experiment with different songs and see how they work. Mix in some slower bump-and-grind music with a danceable beat. And don't forget to throw in a golden oldie from time to time. (Photo Above: Club Xstatic - Springfield, MA)
I hope these points will help. Remember, the bottom line is that we want everyone to have fun and/or be financially successful. Until next time, here's some fun inspiration.

The Nine Inches Of Success Inch 6:
Let Me Hear Your Body Talk
Most would say that six inches is plenty to get the job done. And that's what we're all about at Males In Motion...getting the job done. Our sixth inch of success for an exotic male dancer involves taking care of the body. Building a body that gets the looks that leads to making the tips. I'll say it once again, different types of dancers are liked by different types of fans. Different shapes and sizes appeal to different fans. I've mentioned big, hairy guys that are often referred to as bears who like their dancers to fit that description. There are those who like the young, slim 'twink' type dancers, and there are those that like the muscle guys who spend hours at the gym to build bulk. And all of those have their fans, and can make decent tips when dancing at a club or event. But they are sometimes limited to a specific fan base. The most marketable is still the guy with the 6 pack abs, V shape muscle back, bubble butt, handsome or cute face, defined chest, arms and legs, who has been amply endowed between the legs. That's just the reality. Add a gracious, sexy personality, and he's the dancer that can pick up the most gigs and will often be the center of attention at a bar, club or event. (Photo Above: The Bow Wow, Columbus, OH)
Let's make this clear, if you were not blessed with the above description, that doesn't mean you are any less than those who have been. It just means that your gene pool did not supply some of the characteristics mentioned. So what! You can still be a successful dancer because the bottom line is...fans of exotic male dancers like attention and any exotic male dancer can provide the right kind of attention to make a fan happy with their experience of the night! At the same time, I say, build all the physical tools that you can for your success. Find a work out routine that will help you create a body that is marketable. Generating enough interest to cause a fan to step up and tip is the goal. A well-defined body is the first tool out of the toolbox that they will see. Do what you can to make it cause a reaction.(Photo Above: Stockbar, Montreal)
There are so many options when determining your physical fitness routine. There are too many links to list for online sources. There are books, e-books, and magazines at the local bookstore devoted to the topic. There are nearby fitness centers with training coaches or partners to help you design a routine to meet your specific needs. My advice is to be realistic and look at your current physical situation, then determine what you want to achieve, then set realistic goals to get there. If you can afford to hire a personal trainer, do so, and let him/her know what you are trying to achieve. (Photo Above: Club Share, Las Vegas)
If you cannot afford a personal trainer, then I recommend that you find a male model, athlete, celebrity, porn star, etc. that has the type of body you are desiring. Research online to find out what this person does to keep in shape, and what type of workout routine they do to shape their body. Again, be realistic, your bone structure or other physical characteristics of your body might not allow you to be exactly like the person you have chosen as your goal 'look'. Also, no matter how much you may wish for a 10" penis, if you are over a certain age and it isn't that length, chances are, it isn't going to happen. You can however, improve the muscle tone of your body, create more muscle definition, achieve a lean stomach, and climb a few stairs every day and watch the bubble on that butt begin to appear. (Photo Above: Pan Dulce, Southern California)
If you are a personal trainer or if you have used the services of one that you would like to recommend, please either leave a comment after this blog, or email your information and I will post it in an update at the bottom of this blog. Also, if you are a male model, athlete, celebrity, porn star, etc., and would like some free 'exposure', let us know your workout routine or a link where we can find the information, and I'll post it as well. (Photo Above: Club Xstatic, Springfield, MA)
Until next time, put down that cheeseburger, start climbing those stairs instead of using the elevator, and buy some tight-fitting, sexy underwear and start dancing. Oh, and send me pics of your progress. You can do it!
DISCLAIMER: I am not a physical trainer, nor do I make any type of recommendations from a background of such. I am simply making suggestions. If you follow them, you will do so at your own risk. I accept no responsibility for your choices. So read, and ask experts in the area of physical fitness to make the most informed choices.(Photo Above: Males In Motion archives)

The Nine Inches of Success Inch 5:
Go All The Way!
OK, I know I just sent you off to fantasy land or you were revisiting some amazing past experience but I need you to refocus and come back. What I'm actually talking about is the exotic male dancer stepping off the stage, platform, box, or out of the cage, and getting involved in the special night of a fan. If you are serious about making as much as possible for the night in tips, you'll need to be aggressive without being obnoxious. (Photo Source: MJ's ~ Silverlake, CA)
Bar or Club patrons visit the bar for a variety of reasons. At the top of the list are celebrations, escape from stress at work or home, and have a night out with friends. The smart male dancer will find ways to enhance the experience of the customers. Finding ways to add to the fun of their night will make a positive impression and will often lead to more tips that night, and when they visit in the future. (Photo Source: Global Male Productions ~ San Diego, CA)
- Here are a few suggestions for getting involved in a customer's special night:
- Start by greeting everyone that walks in the door. Let them know that they are noticed and tell them welcome to..., glad you are here, etc., whatever feels comfortable for you.
- Ask how there night is going? They will usually tell you if they are celebrating a birthday or special event. If ok with the management, offer a one song free lap dance for a birthday, etc. They will tip you anyway, but state that it's free because it's their birthday. You have just created a potential big tipper.
- If you find out someone is having a special night, pass it on to the other dancers. All dancers should at least stop by and tell the customer "Happy Birthday!" When you go out of your way to make their night special, they are going to create free promotion and marketing for you and the club. They are going to tell everyone they know about their night. They will tip more if given some attention. And they will return for future visits. Your club and the male dancers at the club will become known for making everyone feel special when at the club.
Always participate in theme nights at the club by selecting a costume/underwear that fits the theme. You'll add to the atmosphere.
(Photo Source: XL Nightclub ~ New York, NY)- If you have no 'need for privacy' issues, pose for pics with customers. And realize, they will show up on facebook, etc. But this will be good promo for you and the club where you are dancing.

Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about, Buck Stone is an exotic male dancer and a friend of mine. In March I hired him to perform at an event and he worked for 2.5 to 3 hours. He did not do lap dances. There was no VIP room. He did not perform nude. He danced and wore a leather harness, leather shorts that laced up the side, and leather boots. I will admit, his hot body looked great in the all-leather costume. He danced that night but more importantly he worked his way around the large club charming the guests and making tips.
I am still frequently asked when we can have him back again for another event. He made the guests feel special, and helped to make sure they were having fun. He got involved in the special night for the guest. He could have stood on a stage and just danced. Some of the customers would have tipped him, but he was smarter. He got involved in their night. All I need to say is that it was a good financial night for Buck. It was a win-win situation for the dancer and the customers. He was entertaining to make money and they were there to celebrate and have a good time. (Photo Source: Buck Stone's Facebook Page)
Until next time, go all the way!
