Dominating Our Fantasies - Sin IP - Males In Motion August 2018 Obsession

When Sin IP steps into your world he takes over your fantasies. And you're more than happy to let him have control. He is a presence. You feel him as well as see him. Tall, piercing blue-gray eyes, amazing lips and a muscular body. And never fear, he's fully equipped in those places where your eyes are going to wander.

Stop for a minute and imagine Sin IP playing one of your favorite roles. He can be the maverick cowboy who chooses to do things his way. He can be the military man who commands by giving orders he requires you to obey. He can be the executive who wields financial power making major decisions involving his millions. He's the fireman who saves the day and comes home the hero. Who is he in your fantasy?

Of course, your fantasy may be more simple. He can be the sexy and charming next door neighbor who you silently watch from your window while he's working in his yard. You wait for that moment when he starts getting hot and sweaty because you know...his shirt will be coming off. (I hear you breathing hard). He knows you're watching but doesn't mind. He lets you pretend to be hidden.

There are three fantasy scenarios that are actual realities. First, Sin IP is an exotic male dancer. Well, that's no surprise since he is being featured in this blog. But he is one of the few that can perform not only as a male stripper but also a go-go boy, pole dancer, member of a male revue, and nude male dancer. If you are looking for a male dancer to perform at your venue, he has you covered. That is why we have chosen Sin IP to be our Males In Motion Obsession for August 2018. That and the fact that he is also a super nice guy.

Second, Sin IP is also a male model. He has been a favorite subject of photographer Rick Craig who took the photos in this blog. And third, Sin IP is a musician. Put a guitar in his hand and listen to his fingers work their magic. Well I did it then! I said "his fingers work their magic". Now you're going to be thinking about that all day. (You're welcome!)

Sin IP performs with Arouse Entertainment as a member of their male revue team making many women very happy. But he is an equal opportunity entertainer. He's just as comfortable dancing for gay men. He is straight which provides daydreaming fuel for all those gay men who fantasize about straight men. Don't deny it, we know you do!

We first met and tipped Sin IP in Tulsa, OK at Area 18. That bar is closed but his Tulsa fans will be happy to know that he can be found from time-to-time performing at The Tulsa Eagle. We thank DJ Wes Bigfeather for making this happen. We are ready to create new Sin IP fantasies of our own. (Notice I put the pic of him shirtless wearing a cowboy hat first in this blog. ***Insert daydreaming grin here***).

Sin IP produced his own successful calendar this past year. He is planning to reveal another one for 2019. We'll keep you posted on this. The 2018 was scorching hot! (See bulge in blog pics for reference).

I guess it's time to end this blog. I'm starting to daydream about leather and Sin IP. I keep hearing myself say things like "Yes sir!" "Thank you sir!" Follow Sin IP on social media and when he's in your area, stop by and place a tip or two in his waistband, g-string, thong, jockstrap, sock. And say hi to me while you're at it because I'll be standing there too. Until next time, happy fantasies and daydreams!

Maximizing Income As A Male Dancer ~ Guest Blogger Laura Mendenhall, Owner/Manager of Area 18 in Tulsa, OK

Photo Source: Area 18 Facebook Page   Photo by Rick Craig   Dancer: Baller

The beauty of a career as a male dancer is that you have the ability to increase your income. A very large portion of your income is directly dependent on your actions. This means that you have limitless potential to boost your income! You can make the equivalent of $10 per hour or you can make upwards of $100 per hour. It's all up to you! Amazing, isn't it? How many other jobs can offer that?
As the owner of a male gogo bar, I have witnessed many dancers come and go. There have been some that came only to drink, some who thought they would hit pay dirt by just standing around looking pretty, some who didn't want to interact with customers and then there have been others who understood how to create longevity and have made a tremendous amount of money. My hope is that by sharing with you some of the lessons I have learned over the past few years that I can impart tips to you that will help extend your tenure and maximize your dancing income!

Treat dancing as a job
In many dancer bars, dancers work for tips. Often times they are not paid a base wage. One of the biggest mistakes I have seen dancers make is thinking that because the venue does not pay them an hourly rate that dancing is not a “real job”. If you have ever felt this way, I want to challenge you to change your perspective on this.
The reason dancers are not paid a base pay is because dancing brings with it the potential to make far more per hour in tips than any base pay could ever come close to matching. Working for tips is an amazing employment opportunity because you have the ability to increase your income. If you work hard and put the effort in, I would be willing to bet that you will make far more dancing than you ever have on conventional jobs that you may have held in the past.
When your mindset shifts and you begin to look at dancing as a career, your actions will change as well. You will understand how important it is to show up to your venue on time. You will understand how important it is to not no call, no show. You will understand that a strong work ethic while you are at the venue will put more money into your underwear at the end of the night.

Invest in Yourself
With the knowledge of knowing that you control your profitability, comes the responsibility of investing in yourself. Customers are initially drawn to you based on your physical appearance. Therefore, you want your appearance to be the best that it can be. Get a gym membership and work out regularly. Eat healthy and learn the types of food that will help you to avoid bloat. You want those abs to stand out!
You will be up close and personal with bar patrons so good hygiene is an absolute must. Always make sure to shower, put on deodorant, and brush your teeth before heading into work. If you are having dinner on the way to the venue, bring a toothbrush and toothpaste with you. Or be cautious of eating any foods that can have a lingering effect on your body, such as garlic or curry. And always have freshly laundered underwear!

Keep It Fresh
Customers of entertainment venues are always on the hunt for “new”. That is why often times a brand new dancer might seem to make more money when he first starts. Customers crave new! I have had dancers extend their tenure at our venue far beyond the norm for the male entertainment industry simply by changing things up and constantly re-inventing themselves. Get a different hair cut! Buy some fun shoes that light up! Change your underwear throughout the night! Buy quality, designer name brand underwear! Be creative with what you wear!

Be Sociable
Some of the biggest money earners that have worked for me have told me that their secret is that they never stop talking to customers. They have told me that they make as much money mingling as they do while they are dancing. This is a critical aspect to your success.
Everyone wants to come to a bar and feel like Norm from Cheers. Remember how every time Norm would walk into Cheers the whole bar would shout his name in excitement? That is what our customers crave. They want to feel welcomed and they want to feel that the bar staff is happy to see them. And it's even better if the dancers are excited to see them!
When you take the time to talk to a customer one on one, they feel special. When you put a smile on their face, they are much more likely to put dollars in your underwear! Compliment them. Call them by name. Ask them about something you saw them post on social media. Let them know you pay attention to them.

Social Media
Social media is one of the most powerful tools you have at your disposal for creating a fan base. And the best part? It doesn't cost you anything!
Be active on social media. Our patrons use a variety of different social media platforms so you should too in order to reach as many people as possible. Post 2-3 times a day to grow your engagement. Use one post per day to invite them to your club. Let the other posts be fun posts about you....bathroom selfies, workout pictures, casual pictures, etc.
I always recommend my dancers create a separate social media account for their dancer persona. There should never be any negative or dramatic posts on your dancer page. Remember, people come to bars to forget the grind of daily life and to escape their problems so they must always see us as upbeat and fun. It's hard to envision yourself having fun with someone who is always making “woe is me” posts.
I recommend staying clear of political or religious posts on your dancer page as well, as those tend to be very divisive topics.
I encourage you to keep your dancer page free of any references to your relationship or pictures of your significant other. Remember, this is a work page and the purpose is to grow your following and boost your earning potential. Therefore, your page should be filled of provocative images of YOU. It's all about creating a fantasy that will help draw a bar goer into your venue.
It is my belief that when dancers put these basic practices into use that they can reap a long and lucrative career!

Six Ways To Make More In Tips - Mike's Suggestions To Male Dancers - And These Are Easy!

Photo Source: Men Of Eden   Dancer: Ricky Roman for Men Of Eden
Location: Trevi Lounge ~ Fairfield, CT

There are six simple things you can do that will increase the amount of money you make in tips. In this blog I will give pointers on how to accomplish each one easily. The more of the six you master, the more you will see your tips increase.

Photo Source: Asher Photography   Dancer: Ricky Spanish
Location: Area 18 ~ Tulsa, OK

#1 - SMILE
Let's start with a smile. A smile can present an entire conversation to the customer when you haven't said one single word. You might think that a smile should be automatic, but unfortunately it is not. There are some dancers who either forget to smile, or maybe they never have. A smile presents an attitude that makes you approachable, friendly and having fun. Let us speak plainly. A smile can be the bait that reels in the customer to tip. I have been in clubs where a dancer had an amazing body but he does not smile. This gives off the vibe that either he is conceited and arrogant, or doesn't want to be there. I have also seen straight male dancers who are dancing in a gay club but have not yet found their comfort level. Find it and get with the program. That is, if you are wanting to make any money in tips. And gay men do like to tip.
Without a smile many customers are turned off. And if the other dancers have hot bodies and are smiling at the customers, it doesn't take a genius to figure out where the tip money will go. As an example, I hold up Ricky (pic above) at Area 18 in Tulsa, OK who is known for his smile. Click here and read why Ricky was the Males In Motion February Obsession.

#2 - DANCE ON NON-WEEKEND NIGHTS
Friday night seems to be the night of the week when the most tips can often be made. That is excluding any special events held on other nights. Friday night is the night when most folks are ready to blow off steam after a week of work. This involves spending money on beer, cocktails, and entertainment. In some locations Saturday night is the big night. This causes most of the dancers to want to work the weekend nights. That's understandable. However, this means more dancers show up on weekend nights which translates into the tips being spread over a greater number of dancers. If you are one of the most popular dancers, then hey, that may work for you. But if you are not, there may be too much competition for the customer dollars for you to have a good night of tips. If you are wanting to make more in tips, then sometimes you have to add an additional night, or work the nights that fewer dancers want to work. All you are giving up is your time. During the week, you could have visiting business people who are ready to have a little fun. All it takes is one big spender on a week day night to make it the biggest night in tips. You'll also be building some kudos with the management. They sometimes struggle with having enough dancers on non-weekend nights.

#3 - ENHANCE YOUR PERFORMANCE WITH COSTUMES
I will tip a dancer if he is wearing a cowboy hat and/or cowboy boots even if I'm not really into him. I will tip a dancer if he adds some type of accessory like a leather harness, a hat, army boots and hat with dog tags, etc. There are so many things that can be added here. I love a male dancer in and out of underwear as much as the next male dancer fan. But if a dancer takes the initiative to go one step further and play into my fantasies, then I'm going to tip, and tip extra. This is really important to the guys who dance at a club where there are many male dancers. You want to distinguish yourself from the rest. It is also important for the regular customers who have seen the same thing from you every week. Step up your game and add some costume enhancements. I will say one word of warning here, I do not tip for items I feel are more appropriate for a drag queen. However, if you have customers who respond to that, then go for it. It's just not my thing.

#4 - PROMOTE YOURSELF EARLY
When a person is in their early 20s, they may not decide where they want to party on a particular night, until just before they leave their house, or when they meet up with friends. However, older customers are not like that. They are used to planning their weeks. And they usually make plans a week or more in advance of an event. If you are wanting your older customers to come to the club and tip you, you need to give them plenty of notice. This is the same for travelers. If they are going to need transportation, they are wanting to make decisions early so they know they have the flight, etc., to the area. If you wait to promote yourself in social media, etc., on the day of the event, you have already missed several opportunities for receiving tips from the older customers. Let me ask you...do the customers in their 20s tip well for you? If so, then excellent! But I will inform you that you are among the few male dancers where this is the case. The older customers have more dollars to spend. If you want to receive some of those dollars in tips, then you need to promote at least a week early, and then a few more times as the day approaches. I applaud the dancing boys in Ohio, like Johnny W. Dangerously (above), who are masters at this type of promotion. Click here and see why Johnny W. Dangerously was the Males In Motion March Obsession.

#5 - TEASE
"It's All About The Tease!" is one of my favorite slogans for Males In Motion. There are a few male dancers that need to be told a little secret...just because you are standing around in your underwear, or less, doesn't mean I'm going to tip you. Nope. Don't get me wrong. I'm grateful, but like all customers/fans we have likes and dislikes and will react accordingly. I enjoy tipping dancers who fit the categories of twinks, guys with athletic defined bodies or wiry muscular bodies. My partner on the other hand likes male dancers who are stocky and hairy, and often goes for the more mature looking dancers as well. However, I'll let you in on another secret...with a little added tease, a customer can decide to include your type in their preferences, if only for a moment. And that moment is long enough to receive a tip.

Photo Source: Noah, dancer at Boxers N Briefs ~ near St. Louis, MO

I've already labeled myself as easy when it comes to male dancers and it's true. But like I said, I do have my preferences. These preferences have been expanded at times for different reasons. I have tipped a male dancer when he gave me a shoulder rub after I'd been traveling all day. It was well worth it. I have tipped a dancer that I wasn't interested in because he stopped and had a conversation with me and tried to connect with me. Sure, he was working me, but he wasn't just standing there waiting and expecting me to tip him. But I did because he made a connection. With both there was also a tease through a little sexual innuendo and/or maybe blatant sex talk during the exchange. And it should be no surprise that I have tipped because I was given a sneak peek of 'the goods'...not always the full monty, but enough to capture my attention. I also want to say that I have tipped a second time because after the first tip, the dancer either gave me a hug or a quick kiss usually on my cheek or forehead.

#6 - THE THANK YOU TIP
When someone comes up and tips you while you are dancing, working the pole, on the box, on the stage, giving a lap dance, etc., first say "thank you", give them a hug or light kiss on the cheek, and remember them. After you have finished your session, that song, or however your time is broken up among dancers, find each person that tipped you, and go to them to say thanks for tipping me while I was dancing. It is almost a guarantee that they will tip you again at that time. Please be grateful for the tip and not just following through the motion. If you are fake, they will pick up on that and may keep their money in their pocket. But if you are sincere, and go to them, give them a little attention and say thanks, you will almost always get at least one tip if not more. Some customers will continue tipping you while you are standing there. I do. If I've got up out of my seat and walked up to the area where the dancer is performing and tip them, then that is stating that I like this dancer. So, I'm already open to tipping more.

How many of the six have you already mastered? There are many more suggestions, tips and ideas that can assist the male dancer in making more in tips. If anyone has a good one to offer, please post it in the comment section below. To all the customers and male dancer fans who have been reading along in this blog, we say thank you for tipping! It keeps the exotic male dancer entertainment industry going! Plus, it's fun!
